It’s Halloween in April!
I know it’s six months since Halloween happened..and another six until it comes around again, but I just discovered http://www.coolest-homemade-costumes.com and what a database of weirdness it is!
Think of it as a kind of http://pictureisunrelated.com/, but with instructions on how to reenact the interesting captures. Some favorites from the group section of the site:

Earth, Wind, and Fire
“My son’s hair was spiked and painted green. Using eye lash glue we then attached bugs on to his scalp and hair.”

The Smurfs
This very much reminds me of a ..’movie’ I saw on the internet one time.
And, in case you want to take on the challenge for yourself, please note: “The paint we found to work best was the Ben Nye liquid paint. Words of advice make sure to apply lots of the pre-sealer before applying the paint because it helps the paint adhere much better.”

Twister Game
There’s nothing specifically wrong with two middle-aged guys dressing up like a game that is used by teenagers to try to reach first base, but..there’s just something about his duo that makes me very uneasy.
[Ed. note: Matt thinks it’s actually much easier to skip straight to second base with Twister. Something about the constant grazing of body parts.]

Carebears
Creepy but admirable: “The costumes were a group decision amongst a group of grown men who all thought it was time to shock the local costume party we attend. And if seeing 6 foot tall grown men in bright colored jumpsuits isn’t shock then I am not sure what is.”
And to leave on a positive note, my two favorite-favorites:

and

Hungry chicken baby!
